This is our Kenya class blog to let you know all that we have been doing. Please view all out latest news below and you can also link to and read details of all forthcoming events and upcoming activities opposite.

Class Kenya is a great place to be at Forest View. Miss Marshall is our class teacher and she is supported by Mr Clarke, Mrs Kidd and Mrs Roguz. .

Our class is full of enthusiastic and friendly people. As a class, we work hard to complete challenges and aim to work as a team at all times. We work together and support each other whenever possible, but it is also important that we try our hardest to become independent learners too. 

Summer Term

Our topics this term will be based around a contrasting location for our geography, so we will be exploring Sensational South America…

I expect that Year 5 will be a fun packed, creative and curiosity driven year. My aim is that your children will become increasingly independent, learn to ask questions and to begin to drive their own learning forward to achieve and strive beyond their targets. Year 5 is a very busy year as we move towards preparing the children for their move into Year 6 and beyond.


Upper School Handball Team

It was a super start to the term as our Year 5 and 6 handball team set off to The Harvey Hadden Stadium, sporting our brand new kits, to take part in the Handball County Finals. After celebrating our children with 100% attendance this term and those who had received our class nominations for the Achievement Medals, we launched into an eggcellent celebration of Easter. Junior Council

Our Year 5 and 6 children have been invited to represent the young members of their local community as members of the Junior Council.  The children regularly attend Town Council meetings – Charlotte has been nominated by her fellow councillors  as appointed to the role of Junior Council Chairperson.
