Welcome to Class Kenya! Thank you for visiting our page here you will find lots of updates and information about what we have been up to.

Miss Warren is Kenya’s Teacher. On Friday afternoons, we will also be working with Mr Clarke who will be teaching us PE and Ms Marshall who is teaching Handwriting.

Class Kenya is very lucky to have a class full of happy and enthusiastic hard workers. We work together to be the best that we can be and we aim to have lots of fun along the way. We have lots to look forward to this year.

Autumn Term

Autumn is an exciting time for Year 5 with lots to look forward to. We would like to welcome Mrs Mallinson to our team, she will be working alongside both Miss Peck and Miss Warren this year. We will be starting our ‘Raiders, Invaders and Settlers’ topic with WOW day. We will also representing The Forest View Academy in the national ‘Big Ideas’ competition. We will be celebrating Black History Week and the Harvest Festival. In December we have our residential to Hagg Farm, Derbyshire to look forward to.

Great start to Year 5!

On Thursday 21st June, the whole academy enjoyed a musical extravaganza organised by Miss Beech. We listened to ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough‘ and discussed the meaning of the lyrics and related it to our friendships. Pond dipping and mini-beast discovery

We’ve enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in our fantastic nature garden to start our new science topic of ‘Animals and their Habitats’.
