Welcome to Year Four

Information for Classes Canada, Kenya and Holland

Year Four is a great place to be at Forest View.  Our class teachers are Mrs Turner-Mitchell, Miss Warren & Miss Stannard. During the year, we will also be working with Miss Lindley , who will both be teaching our music.   Mr Clarke will teach Games with Ms Marshall in our PE lessons. So we will certainly get used to working with different people.

Our classes are full of enthusiastic and friendly people. In Year Four,  we work hard to complete challenges and aim to work as a team at all times.   However, it is also important that we try our hardest to become independent learners too.

Spring / Summer  Term

This is our Year Four blog to let you know all that we have planned for the year.  You can link to and read details of all forthcoming events and upcoming activities opposite as well as follow  us on Twitter.

Year 4 have had a very busy Spring Term. We have been on a trip and started our swimming lessons too! Over the past term we have read lots of books and started our new Year 4 class book, James and the Giant Peach. We have had a wonderful trip to the MRF where we learnt all about recycling and what we can do to look after our environment. In English, we have looked at ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ and re-written our own version about our shoes! We have also written our own poem inspired by ‘The Magic Box’ by Kit Wright. We had a wonderful World Book Day which was inspired by traditional tales and stories, and Year 4 staff dressed up as Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Recently, we have started our Chitty Chitty Bang Bang rehearsals which has sadly had to go on hold, but hopefully we will pick up from where we left off when things return back to normal.
Stay safe and please don’t forget to regularly check the school website and your emails. We might not be in class but keeping up with reading, completing work and learning is still important. If you need any help or support, we are still here to help you and are only an email or phone call away.
