In Year Three, we have an exciting and challenging curriculum, which encourages us to become independent learners. In our classroom, we have a positive learning environment, which helps us to achieve and exceed our potential. Mrs Bee, Mrs McCarthy and Mrs Pearce are sure Year 3 will be an exciting year for all of us in Year Three, as we have many interesting and engaging topics to learn about.
Our topic for this term is Stones and Bones. This exciting topic will begin with a trip to Creswell Crags; we will explore the caves and learn how humans lived thousands of years ago! In English, we will be exploring many Stone Age stories, including The Croods! Our science topic is all about rocks ans soils as well as light, we will be sampling soil and finding out about the geological make up of our local environment. Our art will link closely with our topic as we look at Andy Warhol and create some Stone Age animal prints. This term will be full of fun and exciting new things we can learn together, we can’t wait to get started.
