In Year Three, we have an exciting and challenging curriculum, which encourages us to become independent learners. In our classroom, we have a positive learning environment, which helps us to achieve and exceed our potential. Mrs Turner-Mitchell, Miss Rylatt and Miss Blyth are sure Year 3 will be an exciting year for all of us in Year Three, as we have many interesting and engaging topics to learn about. Mrs Pearce will also be helping out in year 3 in a morning.
Although Autumn term might be a little bit different this year in our year group bubbles we are still going to make it as fun and enjoyable as possible! Our topic for this term is Stones and Bones, we are learning lots about the Stone Age. In English, we will be exploring many Stone Age stories, including The Croods! Our science topic is all about rocks and soils as well as light, we will be sampling soil and finding out about the geological make up of our local environment. Our art will link closely with our topic as we look at Andy Warhol and create some Stone Age animal prints. This term will be full of fun and exciting new things we can learn together, we can’t wait to get started.
Our topic for this term is Walk Like Egyptian. In art we will be learning how to paint water which will complement our geography work on the River Nile. We will be inviting parents into school at the end of term to celebrate all our hard work with a class assembly.
Our Topic for summer term is Food Glorious food. We will be doing lots of exciting work looking at food from around the world. In English we will be looking at the story ‘Mamma Panya’s Pancakes’ and creating our own version of the story.
