Three members of our PTA who are also involved with the Sherwood Forest Education Partnership Heritage Group were present as we explored an exciting archive of maps, photographs and memories of life in New Ollerton.
We are hoping to develop an accessible resource that can be used by children of Ollerton to learn about the unique heritage of our village.
Our parents’ group meet every Thursday afternoon during term time in the community room at Forest View. They meet for tea, biscuits and a natter, as well as to organise fund raising events, cook together, do gardening, clothing alteration and many crafts. The group are also important for helping with our academy discos, film evenings, performances and offering in class support with art and craft work. They currently need fancy cups & saucers, knitting wool, ribbon, buttons, plastic storage tubs, old cards (Christmas/birthday etc), gift bags & boxes and new/used candles. If you are able to donate any of these items please pop them down to the academy.
Thank you in anticipation. We are also asking for any games your child may no longer play with. We could make use of them for wet play/lunchtime.
