Safer Internet Workshop

04 February 2019

Dear Parents/Carers

To recognise safer internet day we will be having a workshop for parents on:

Tuesday 12 February 2019 at 2pm – 3.15pm

The workshop is being held by Lorna Naylor, who is Nottinghamshire County Councils Internet Safety Trainer.  The workshop is aimed at parents, to help them ensure that their child/ren are using the internet safely at home.

Children and young people have the right to access information (Article 17) and they are increasingly using the internet to learn, play and socialise. It is essential that children are empowered to take advantage of the internet’s many benefits in a safe and informed way.

The workshop is designed to help you to keep your children safe online, whilst encouraging them to become confident digital citizens as well as providing advice on different safety features and how to set them up.

If you would like to attend the workshop please complete the slip below and return it to the academy as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely

Mrs R Harrison

Principal
